Anissa Weier in Court

In their own words, the two girls accused of stabbing their friend 19 times for Slender Man describe why they did it and how they felt.

"It felt weird. I felt no remorse," says Morgan Geyser in interrogation videos obtained by Wisconsin TV station, WISN. "I thought I would."

Geyser, 12, and her friend Anissa Weier, now 13, have been accused of plotting to kill a classmate as a way to prove the existence of Slender Man, an online fictional character. The pair were charged as adults for intentional homicide.

In the video, Geyser tells a Waukesha police detective about the plan to allegedly kill their friend. "We knew it was going to be at my birthday sleepover," she says about the incident that started on May 30. "You have no idea how difficult it was not to tell anyone."

The following morning on May 31, Geyser, Weier and their friend Payton Leutner walked to a nearby wooded area.

"We told her we were going to go bird watching. People who trust you become very gullible. And it was sort of sad," Geyser says.

She tells the detective what happened once they were in the woods. "It sort of just happened. It didn't feel like anything. It was like air." Weier says killing someone was going to prove Slender Man existed. "I decided to go along, tag along, to prove the skeptics wrong," she says.

Leutner was left to die, but managed to crawl to a nearby bike path where a passerby called 911. She spent the summer recovering from her injuries and returned to school. She recently celebrated her birthday with her family.

Meanwhile, Geyser and Weier appeared in court last week where their lawyers argued to have their case heard in juvenile court. The judge says he will make his decision on March 13 after reviewing the interrogation videos.
